From 2008-2023, my work included representing parents in District Court cases involving social services in addition to family cases not involving the state. That includes acting as court-appointed counsel in child support and other contempt cases. I represented clients in divorce and advocated for victims of domestic violence. And I represented individuals in certain criminal actions.

Since 2023, I have worked in Superior Court in Eminent Domain actions related to transportation improvement plans and have gained experience in criminal appellate practice.

I am an an attorney. I have served as a licensed attorney since 2008. I am an advocate. I believe that an attorney has a duty to reasonably advocate for the attorney’s client. However, besides for the law and its purpose of serving the people whose lives it affects, I understand that as a judge I would  not be one of the attorneys advocating for or against a side in any case that comes before me.

As a member of different community organizations, a mother, wife, sister, and friend, I believe in community and serving where one’s schedule and limits allow time for service. I understand that we cannot all be at the same place all of the time, but we should each work where we can in order to do our part to improve our society.

I understand that stressors of life and the temptation to become callous due to their impact. However, I believe that everyone has the power to improve and see improvement in one’s circumstances each new day. Own your power and never surrender it to your circumstances!
