A bit of my "Why"...
As an Air Force Brat, Army Veteran, 31- year spouse of a Retired Soldier, member of 555 Parachute Infantry Association and Senior Vice-President of VFW Post 6018 Auxiliary, I appreciate veterans, first responders, the families that support them and the nuances that come with their service.
I believe that mental health illness is a factor to be given due and respectful consideration.
I believe our courts should have integrity, patience, fairness, and respect for all regardless of race, sex, or finances.
Judges should be impartial AND Honor the NC Code of Judicial Conduct
I believe we should stand against domestic violence and support those who protect children from abuse while preserving family bonds when possible.
I believe we must protect a child’s fundamental right of education and a teacher’s right to teach in an environment that promotes security and peace of mind.
I believe bail statutes need to be followed and consistently applied. And that a person is innocent until PROVEN guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Based on my beliefs, I endeavor to:
SERVE Cumberland County in a manner that the above beliefs are seen rather than only spoken such that I can do my party to improve the justice system for YOU and all involved and to build the public’s confidence in ITS courts.
